The color is good, nice looking interior and the running gear swap is excellent. I've owned both '65 and a '66 Chev C-10 standard bed trucks and a '66 GMC shorty. They were great trucks to have and to drive. As far as the hood question, I always preferred the later hood, but it's all I ever had. I don't hate the early hood, I'm more indifferent to it. The one thing I dislike about the pre-64 models is the wrap around windshield, that damned thing that sticks out from the top, I would always smack my knee into that whenever I rode or drove one of those models! Hurt like hell. To sum it all up, it's a great truck and I think it will do very well. I have a 60 C-10 with the wrap around window. I am 6 foot tall and have never hit my knee on the protruding portion of body work necessitated by that windshield. I prefer the wrap around due to its uniqueness and improved visibility. It does make sourcing vent windows difficult, however. The early hoods, as I have read, weren't very popular and no one makes them anymore. A 63 -67 hood fits just fine and have less controversial looks. The quad headlights were also only seen in the early 60's models of these trucks.\n@WAGONBOYTD\nI haul more than apples with my truck.\n@Robert\nI wonder if the rockers were replaced during the \"rust repair\". I had a really good detailer spend a couple of hours on it a few years ago and he got it pretty good, at least to the point it didn't irritate me Then I screwed it up getting it ready for sale when I took the latches off to clean off some over spray. After I screwed up the drivers side, I decided to leave the passenger side alone!\n\nI believe the correct badges for the fenders say Apache 10 and are available. I liked it without. The hood emblem is correct for a 6 cylinder, which this originally was. But I owned a 63 for 20 years (that I wish I still owned) and I never once hit my knees getting in or out. And I'm 6'2\" with a 34\" inseam. I own a 65 today and love it but would still like to get a 60 as a stable mate someday. Love these hoods and they are more and more in demand today. The people who called them ugly years ago who replaced them with the flat later model hood mostly wish they had them back now. This looks like a good solid pickup which is gonna make somebody very happy. Provided it hits reserve.
