Not even any oil stains on the floor. They are a unit in a larger facility with several other high-end shops. I guess you have to be high end to afford the rent there, lol. The unit a couple doors down from them has a maclaren senna on display!!! There's also a high end tuner there and a detail shop. Lots of $100k-$200k range sports and sports luxury cars in the parking lot. And some sport boats.\r\n\r\nThe car is as good as you can imagine. There's no evidence of any fluid leaks. Which is kind of unbelievable for a race car. Some of the photos showed some wear spots that I was worried about. In real life it's minimal and doesn't take away from the otherwise fairly pristine nature of the car. The windshield is perfectly clear without so much as a hairline scratch on it. The only real appearance defect to me is a hairline fracture on the driver's rear quarter. It looks to be a paint crack and not a rip in the body panel. Surprisingly, the front lip (air dam/spoiler) has no markings, dings, scratches, etc on the top surface. There are a few light scrape marks underneath so it's not brand new, but you'd sure think it is.\r\n\r\nThe doors open and close precisely with ease, and fit with small and even panel gaps to the body. I guess that's a good indicator of chassis straightness? I'm not an expert there.\r\n\r\nIt started right up. It's louder and meaner than I thought from the video.\r\n\r\nThere's an electric remote side mirror adjustment knob on the dash, which made me lol.\r\n\r\nThis car doesn't seem to share many parts with a street car Evora. Every body panel is carbon or fiberglass, with external screw/bolt mountings. I half expected it to have headlight stickers instead of actual headlights! The pedal box is impressive. Real race brakes! Couldn't really operate them with my hiking shoes on, everything is narrow. There's a quick access pop-off panel where the \"frunk\" would be for easy access to the brake fluid reservoir. Which is in the center instead of at driver's side. Odd.\r\n\r\nThe things I didn't really like are that:\r\n\r\nThe fire bottle blocks the mounting of a passenger seat. I suppose, maybe, a passenger seat could be mounted more forward but it'd be better to move the tank. It's not a handheld bottle, it's electrically fired so I suppose it could go \"anywhere\". For track day duty you really want a passenger seat. OTOH without a passenger seat it's easy to mount a coolshirt-type tank.\r\n\r\nNo driver's net and no provision (mounting points) for one. For race duty, AFAIK all sanctioning bodies require this now. There are obvious attachment points but not without cutting up the beautiful carbon dash. So that's not going to be a cheap job if you want it to have the same factory appearance afterwards. I suppose you could save the original panel, replace it with aluminum with necessary cutouts and apply a carbon decal for appearance' sake.\r\n\r\nNo halo seat! Come on, this is 2019. It's a shame to swap the seat though, it's a lovely carbon shell seat. There's a few details I'd like to add, but first that Senna, huh?!\n\nI did my best to show the cosmetic wear/flaws in the photo gallery. Although some photos can't capture the nuances that the human eye can. That said, in my experienced opinion this Evora GT4 is in relative excellent cosmetic condition, less than what one would expect commensurate with use. The windshield is a brand new OE unit, so optical clarity is ideal for race conditions. We followed Lotus Motorsports' lead here and decided not to go with poly/lexan. Those products are cost effective at the price of scratching easily and distorting vision. When setting up a car for endurance racing (e.g. eye fatigue), those factors are important considerations. Lotus MS set it up as a quick-change system where a prepped windshield can be switched out in a matter of minutes...pretty slick. You're correct about the rear clam left quarter, there a few surface cracks near the wheel arch (photo #42). This was repaired under the previous team's care and looks to be some type of paint failure.\n\nI'm glad you bring up the roar this thing possesses. Even with the muffler in place, the sound is wicked! I made several attempts to capture the exhaust note. A welcomed feature for a vehicle with fixed windows.\n\nThe location of the fire bottle displaces a passenger seat only slightly more forward compared to the drivers position. Although it appears to be much more \"in the way\", it's more so an optical illusion. \n\nRegarding the absence of a driver's net, VSA has an excellent setup that doesn't cut up the dash panel, preserving the beautiful carbon. I can post up pics if you like. It's was on our prep list, but is now more of a consideration for the next owner (as is the the halo seat).\n\nWe put a lot of money and effort into the car. Any questionable part or system we observed was addressed, repaired, or replaced.
