I owned a Dark Olive W114 at one time followed by two W113's. The jack points on the passenger side are excellent. The front jack point drivers side need to be reinforced per above and the rear drivers side is good. I have had estimates in LA to repaint and repair the car and all were reasonable. One can repaint the car for sure or drive it as is. It is an incredibly popular coupe whenever it goes out on the town or to shows. Everyone always says why do you want to repaint. To each their own. Mechanically it is a 10 for its road worthiness. CascoPhil made an offer well above 10k and so it is of course very amusing to see his comments. I tried to be reasonable with this person and do my best to connect with him man to man though not once could I get him to pick up the phone leading to eventually blocking his email as the communication become less than desired. The proof is in the pictures. The car is a very nice optioned coupe. I hope it goes to someone who can truly appreciate it and focus on its assets and correct anything they so desire. I have put nearly 10k plus in mechanical repairs and maintenance this car to get it dialed in. This car does not have the same fuel injection as the same engine in a 250SL or SE/L This car has electronic fuel injection apparently the same as the 3.5 and 4.5 from 68-71. I don't know what parts interchange but I would assume the parts are the same except the brain box and \"trigger\" points, because the brain box fires the injectors in the correct firing order based on the message received from the trigger points in the base of the distributor (not the ignition points but below in it's own chamber.) \r\n\r\nI did a quick google search trying to find a distributor, six cylinder trigger points and a six cylinder brain box with no luck. It would be important for the buyer to have a source for this. (possibly a 6 cyl Volkswagen trigger points/brain box from the era could interchange?)\r\n\r\nFrom the looks of the engine it cannot be converted to mechanical fuel injection, (no ports in the head for injectors or block for pump) but can probably be converted to carbs by replacing the intake and exhaust manifolds and adding carbs. Black over tan on both. Both Ohio cars that eventually became too rusty underneath to justify me restoring them as they were used as our daily drivers. Marvelous cars for comfort and drive-ability but we never did well fuel mileage wise; might have been are driving style though! Had Bundt's on the '72 and black centered Penta's on the '71.
