The middle lower seat tilted forward and the upper middle seats created a large flat loading surface when folded forward. This car looks very nicely done.Some of the pics are hard to see.The outside light was so bright the undercarriage is a bit dark. I'd like to see brightened pictures of the floor boards as these areas were prone to rust. Also some pics that show the front of the rear wheel wells ,lower front fender areas (another frequent rust area), rocker panels outside and inside, and how the doors fit to the body. Nomads are very sweet cars. They were in fact the most expensive model offered in 1955. All the problem area's on this car are clean & rust-free, as the whole underside, yes they do exist. You don't see those eyebrows on all '55 Nomads, very valuable. Nice bonus with Tri-5's, you can move/mount all your cooling gear in front of the radiator support, freeing up needed space ahead of the water-pump, as on this car. Of all the Tri-5's I've owned, I had a rust-free '56 Nomad, light resto-mod, fun car to own, was in the National Nomad Club, was a good traveling group, at that time. 1st non-racer organization to ever be allowed to go around the Indy track, quite an experience, we were in Indianapolis for the Nomad Nationals. Santa Cruz, my home town on the way back home right on the way, perfect time to stop at the Boardwalk and get some salt water taffy.\r\n\r\nHung out at the Boardwalk and beach for the rest of the day, OH to live in California in thoes days. Had a pocket full of cash from the no sale of the MK II, leaving Santa Cruz, at the North End of the Boardwalk the very last right turn up the hill to head to the coast HWY, a group of guys watching and hooting at all the lovely women going buy, I see a 1955 Black on Black Nomad sitting on the front lawn.\r\n\r\nInstantly the car guy in me said I got to have that car, had 5K in my pocket, parked right in front of the house walked up and asked whose car it was. A confident 20+ish guys pops up and says mine. Looked the car over literally just a few minutes and asked if he wanted to sell it.
