The USDM GSR and Type R blocks have a number after the B18C stamp. The JDM GSR and Type R blocks do not and are only stamped B18C. Below the B18C stamp is the engine number. If the number begins with 19*****, which in this case it does, then the motor is a 1995-1996 Integra DC2 Type R 96 Spec. \r\n\r\nThe motor is also verified to be assembled in 1996. On the short block just above the left side of the header is stamped with four circles. The first circle indicates the year of assembly and this motor is stamped 96.\r\n\r\nIn addition, JDM B18C Type R motors are stamped PR3 on the short block just above the right side of the header. Another indication that the motor is JDM, is the lack of VTEC pressure switch on the VTEC solenoid.\r\n\r\nI have pictures of the motor stamps available. I cannot post them in the comment section.
