The calipers were cleaned and lined up and works fine. New flex brake lines from the calipers where installed for safety reason. The coolant pipes were cleaned when they put the new original style green line cooling hoses on there, that\u2019s why they look like newer aluminum, but they are not. Any body coating or surface corrosion were cleaned off. All vacuum hoses are in excellent like new condition with no cracks, and nice and soft. Rubber seals around doors and lids are nice soft and with no cracks. Suspension rubber is still good and no play in the suspension. Car runs smooth up to freeway speed. This is obviously not a fully restored car, the point is that it is Not. It\u2019s been thru extensive detailing and parts that needed to be replaced for safety reasons got replaced. 5 months was spent to make it is close to a perfect original car as possible. It will only be original ones. We did Not want a concourse show car. Had a friend that had a new early '70's Torino with that 351C... oh my... Very few stock V8s have impressed me... that was one of them. This was on my list of cars that I wanted in the early '70s... on my honeymoon we looked at a Bricklin, Lotus Europa, and a couple other sports cars... of course young GI's don't actually buy stuff like this. I just kept my '68 Mustang back in the states, wife sold her new Cordoba and we bought a used VW Karman Ghia in Frankfurt and later a '67 Mustang from another GI in Germany. \n\nHave only seen one or two of these beautiful cars in the wild. Have worked on a Porsche 914 for a friend. Mid-engine design is the best. The last Pantera I saw was in the back of a garage at a used car dealership in Renton, WA, late '80s. It was the owners... I got to sit in it. Oh yeah. I would likely have my picture posted at the Post Office if I actually drove something like this now... oh... I miss the Autobahn. For now just looking at and photographing cars like this is just fine with me. \n\nJust noticed this was sold at a dealership about 60 miles from where I grew up. My '68 Mustang already had rusted quarter panels from the salted roads by the time this one was sold. Does look like this one was NOT driven on those roads. Salted roads are such a bad idea... very bad... there has to be a better way... maybe like learn how to drive? Isn't salt bad for the environment? the fish? save the fish!
