My brother had success in Historic Rallying in the UK in the 1980s in a manual Mark 9 with front separate seats, which is how they normally came, only the automatic got the full bench, same with the Mark 1. They were normally 2-tone. They roll but grip on appropriate tires, and are opulent in general. I have had a Bentley S1 and a Rolls Shadow (never again!) and I far prefer the Mark 9. The XK engine can easily be worked on by a capable amateur with the right manuals, and engine parts are plentiful. I hope this doesn't get an engine swap. I have seen the 7-8-9s advertised with all kinds of incorrect engines, even a diesel, oh dear. The air conditioning installation in this one looks tasteful, too. Advise customs in advance of the serial number so that they can confirm that it is not stolen. Pay the tax, then when registering the vehicle, have a certified dealer do a mechanical fitness certificate and convert the speedometer and headlights to Canadian standards.
