A European-market DS like this one will be a problem. When you try to register it the state will know by the VIN that it is a Euro car. Cars made between 1968 and 1975 are required to have US emissions equipment and must meet emissions standards for a specific date, I t think some time in 1972. Possibly this process is easier if the car has already been in the US for a year. Others have covered this in more detail in other comments in other auctions. (You stick the car's manual jack stand under the raised chassis after you fully extend the suspension and then you flip the lever the other way. The stand supports the chassis while the suspension sucks the wheels back up into the wheel wells and thus off the ground for a tire change). Back in the moment, I flipped the lever to the UP position, the suspension \"raised\" the car, effectively lowering the wheels back onto dry ground, and I reversed off the snow berm and hightailed it out of there.
