They are custom made and mount exactly like originals. The originals will be included and the hd blackwall tires were with it when i got it back. The interior was done by one of the top shops in iowa. Absolutely stunning. When i got this back the full intent was to finish to show/museum quality as i wouldn't be driving. Probably 10 km or less by me. The last time it was actually running i took it to messerschmitt restoration shop and they went through it check running/transmission/clutch. All ok. Fluids were drained and put in storage waiting on putting it in museum but never materialized. Thats why i recommend having it gone over to be roadworthy. This was about 5 months ago this was done. I only saw the car in person once when I was traveling through Michigan and stopped for a brief visit. I then heard the Ron passed away and the car was sold. As @Rimspoke mentioned there is very little originality exhibited which is fine if that suites your tastes. When it comes to Messerschmitt\u2019s I am a purist, my restorations reflect this. If the new owner is so inclined just about every original type part is available to bring this early deluxe model back to factory standards, although it would involve a ground up restoration. These little cars came equipped from the factory with 8x4.00 bias ply tires. These tires are not easily sourced in the USA so most owners who actually drive their cars now install the equivalent size tire but a 6 ply rated trailer tire. This might sound strange but the trailer tire has a square type tread and the 6 ply side wall works very well on this type of vehicle. Using scooter tires as this car is equipped with is in my opinion a death wish, scooter tires were not designed to steer like a conventional vehicle they were designed to lean into a turn.
