Just a couple of notes, nothing of import:\r\n\r\n1. The three-point seatbelts have been changed to lap belts only. The over the shoulder harness removed. Holes, however, still in the backboard carpet.\r\n2. The clutch and brake pedals have been bent to the left. Done by some owners to alleviate the closeness to the gas pedal. Now on an angle though.\r\n3. Something happened to the passenger headrest perhaps during a recover job?\r\n4. The teardrop gear knob is not original to the Sprint\r\n5. The convertible top has been installed as separate instead of secured via the rear snap posts. Avoids having to fold the top under the cover which can be hard on the plastic windows.\r\n6. The 175/70 tires can be problematic. Under a full lock bounce, the tires can contact the top of the front arches and cause damage. They can easily be straightened back. \n3) Seats have NOT been recovered and are totally original. The passenger head rest was squished down a bit due to use of the tonneau cover. I have used (and included with the sale) a very nice tonneau cover, but without the headrest pockets which would have avoided the issue. \nAll other points you make are personal choices for gear knob and top installation. I can only attest the ball joint is perfectly fine and tight. Only the rubber cover is perished. I observed that while working on the front end brakes and tested for movement (none). I figured no harm, no foul leaving it alone and keeping a watch on it for the future. They are cheap and simple to replace, but a front end alignment will be required after installation. My initial soft recommissioning work was for safety and roadworthiness only, so the tie rod ends were noted for a very far future maintenance task.\r\nAs for washers, i only used what was called for in the manuals and shop drawings. I don't know where you reference and please let me know what picture number you reference for your observation.
