This F12 looks unlike any other you will find. Custom ordered new by its original (and only) owner who is a Ferrari collector, this F12 is just breathtaking. The previous owner only sold this vehicle (and a few others) to make way for a La Ferrari. \r\n\r\nMichelin tires were installed under 100 miles ago which enable this F12 to handle better than with the standard Pirellis. A Borla exhaust has been fitted, and the factory exhaust is included. The original cover and charger are also included, as is the second key which has never even been taken out of the wrapper. I have more than a fair understanding of the Ferrari dealer/customer relationship being a multi-Ferrari owner for 45 years\u2014yes, I\u2019m that old and yes, I started in my early 20\u2019s. I\u2019m not going to take the time to explain how it works but I\u2019m confident that, in a situation like this, the car would have been offered to the dealer. There are times when the dealer does not want to inventory a particular car. I\u2019ve experienced that firsthand. When that happened with me, the dealer brought in an independent wholesaler who took the car. There can be many reasons the dealer may pass on a car, again I\u2019m not going to enumerate. There happen to be a fair number of F12s available at dealers as they are getting traded in on new, incoming 812s. You can pick up an F12 at an authorized dealer for +/- $250K which happens to be the current bid on this car. You can also pick up a pre-owned 812 for +/- $350K. This particular car has $144K of options. A buyer has to decide\u2014do I pay up for those options or do I put that additional money towards an 812. It\u2019s wild. \r\n\r\nThis is a one of one car, with a ton of very special options, as you stated. \r\n\r\nTwo reasons why cars come to us over a Ferrari (or other franchise store) very often. The first is margin. As predominantly a wholesale company we work on high volume, low margin, so we\u2019re able to pay significantly more than most franchise dealerships. With our own detailing/recon facility and by owning our own trucks/flatbeds etc we can get things done for much less than those who outsource. \r\n\r\nSecondly is that many of our vehicles are never marketed, and are sold to collectors. Often a collector will sell us their car knowing we will find them what it is they\u2019re looking for. In this case they\u2019re getting top dollar for their car, plus the tax break. \r\n\r\nSell a car to a Ferrari dealer and yes if you want another Ferrari in the next year and you KNOW they\u2019re getting it, you\u2019ll get back that nearly 7 percent (in NJ). But what if you want a Porsche? Or a 67 Vette? We have clients that have worked with us for years and know that with the amount of vehicles we handle we\u2019re going to get them the car that they\u2019re looking for.\r\n\r\nIn the case of the client who special ordered this F12 new, it\u2019s the La Ferrari that he is soon taking delivery of. \r\n\r\nI think the point you\u2019re missing is that we work harder than one can imagine at what we do, and at maintaining our reputation. Everyone can come on here and type from behind their computer screens anonymously. We can\u2019t. For someone to suggest that we would sell something wrecked here is just offensive. Anyone actually interested in this car did their due diligence. They know who they\u2019re buying from, just like everyone who has bought from us here in the past.
