I see you are suffering from the scourge of the brown letter T/A Radials. Only way I've been able to handle that is to use a solvent on the white letters and that only lasts for about 6-8 weeks until you need to clean them again. I used it on my '69 Mustang notchback, 72 Mustang FB, 73 Mustang convertible, and my 69 Cutlass convertible. More appropriately, I even used it on my 74 'Cuda. It would last a long time, too, wash after wash. Bright white. A quick search shows them still available for less than $10. Just make sure you're buying the lettering crayon, not the one tire techs use to make marks on tires for balancing and repairs. This Barracuda has a strong pull, and the AC is a big plus. That said, the prior owner was a fanatic about making the car as original as possible. He was not looking to increase performance, he was true to the car. Although I can't guarantee that the cam is stock, I would be shocked if it weren't. (It drives like a stock cam too). In fact, the car was so original, I toiled with the decision to fit the car with radial tires and add the sniper fuel injection. In the end analysis, I wanted the car to be as driver-friendly as possible and went forward with that project. I will let you guys determine if I made the right choice.
