I believe these were specially made by Recaro. The reclining feature was to enable a bit of rest during rally stage breaks. The smiths tach is not jumpy at all. It works very smoothly and still illuminates green as originally. The temp gauge is in its original location. The accessory gauge panel contains SW fuel, oil pressure and amp gauges and is painted to match the dash and is illuminated. The overdrive lever is where it was originally on the right side of the steering column. A light illuminates when it is active. I have not had to do anything with the LSD. The brake system should (okay just maybe should) have a booster installed on the inner driver fender instead of just the single pot master. Swedish versions had the side view mirrors mounted to the front fenders just out of arms reach but I don't think the Canadian versions did. These cars were very limited. In 1967 my Dad was making the switch from Buick land yachts to European cars. The 123 GT got his attention but by the time he got serious, they were sold out (only 500 made if I recall correctly). One Saturday morning we visited the Volvo dealer in Halifax and were observing a customer car in the service lot. The owner came by and after a brief chat he told us there were two left in Bridgewater (about an hour away). My Mom was enjoying a day to herself so my Dad and two older brothers and I went to see if we could find one of these cars. One was green/tan the other blue/red. \"We\" ended up buying the BRG from Aberdeen Motors for $2960 delivered to Halifax the next day with a radio thrown in :) I say \"we\" because eventually each of the boys would successively captain the car in the years to come and needless to say it is to this day a legend in my family (and my riding mechanic buddy who sent me this BaT). I've only ever seen one other blue GT. It came from the west coast. Maybe this is the same one I saw all those years ago. They were rumored to be \"the last two\" GTs built. They were not built in Halifax by the way. They were built in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in an inflatable building erected on the waterfront. The City of Dartmouth had offered Volvo a tax break to locate there. When the municipal tax break ended, they deflated the building and moved it directly across the harbor to Halifax for a similar deal. In the 1980s, with government incentives, Volvo relocated to a new permanent facility in an industrial area. They lasted there until a tax incentive in Mexico lured them away. Ha ha! Not to take away from a great car! \n\nI don't see anything wrong with the tach (although I'm not sure in the day it said \"Volvo\"). The seat adjusters are the same as ours, fog lights were not standard equipment, and the bumperettes did not have rubber pads (although maybe there was an accessory). I like that this example has the locking accessory gas cap ... at 30 cents per gallon for high test, that solved a big problem! There are ones out there with 400k plus. That being said , they did have their issues in different years . I had 2 120's series,. I dont remember which years but there was an issue with cam stock being a bit too soft and suffered premature wear. Other wise,, from what I recall most everything else was quite reliable or for that matter worn lobs didnt cause the car not to run either. I put Bilstein on my 4 door and the front shock towers developed cracks --shocks too stiff for sheet metal involved. I had a local welding shop weld big washers on the top of the towers. Only the front had this problem. the back were not towers. Back in the day it probably cost me about $26 if that, to weld those both. btw seller--nice ride -- the header and exhaust upgrade was a standard upgrade as well back then. Mine had it. I have other stories about the IPD engine kit ---bore out of .185 I think it might have been. will tell later. How's the cam in this one? I had a 62 and a 66..
