It was going one way and then I slightly overcorrected and it broke loose the other way! The driver of the pickup pulled up as I turned off and gave me a thumbs up. Just a little more info on SimpleSevens from my contacts with previous owners: https://www.simplesevens.org/0449/0449.htm An interesting thing about this car is that it did wear the flared wings of the S2 cars before that was the fashion for S1\u2026 note in the early photos of the car (yellow in color, Alfa power) those wings have unique attachment brackets halfway back from the front. These fabricated steel brackets are fairly unique, and appear on the original Sports Cars Illustrated cover car, and well as other press photos. This makes the wings and their brackets particular to this car, and if reunited would be one of very few S1 Sevens wearing its original flared front wings. If the eventual winning bidder is interested, I have these actual wings and brackets in my stock of spares. Still yellow, with plenty of patina! When's I got it , the Lancia engine and gearbox were not with it Anders it had a 100-4 rear axle and brakes. The engine compartment had been extensively modified to accept the Lancia V-6. Fortunately a good friend in the area had an original S1 Seven and I was able to replicate all the originalfactory frame arrangement. Installed Lotus 18 front alloy backing plates with Alfin type drums.( I still have one new one) \r\nThe car has an interesting history and you can still find results on the West Coast in archives.
