On the back side of the upper seat back there is a very small hole chewed into it (not visible at all with seat back in vehicle). The carpet (not glued down areas) was removed and the vehicle cleaned very thoroughly so there is virtually no odor left over from the mice having been in there. The \u201cmusty\u201d smell is what I can only best describe as old leather that\u2019s been sitting in grandmothers broom closet for a few years. It is not mildew or a moisture smell as this car has likely never been out in the rain for the past 15-20 years and always been inside. The musty smell only appears when the car has been sitting closed up with windows up and as soon as you open the doors or crack a window it is gone. \r\n\r\nI am also uploading a couple things I don\u2019t think we\u2019re caught initially on submission and that includes what looks like a spill on the dash tray area that I did not want to scrub too hard for fear of hurting the finish on the dash, a small cut on the driver side seat belt, and a nick on the rear trunk emblem. There is a brand new emblem that comes with the car as well. The original smaller fan and friction fan clutch is near worthless after 40-50k miles. This was a popular upgrade back in the day (for me, early 1980s).\n\nOne nice upgrade it appears not to have is the later oil filter housing with the top access bolt. The original lower bolt version makes a gigantic mess each time you do an oil change. The later E12 version makes it so much nicer and easier/cleaner to do an oil change\u2026one of the best changes I ever made, lol. Way back then M&N made an adapter to allow spin-on oil filters to be used also.\n\nAs to engaging to drive...the suspension setup I arrived at after some trial/error made the Bavaria outstanding for its time, and proved itself at track events throughout the 1980s from Road Atlanta, Mid-Ohio, Summit Point, Lime Rock, etc...tons of fun. The late Charlie Goodman and I used to enjoy our E3 battles with each other at track events way back then. Anyway, it was: Korman/Suspension Techniques 28mm front/22mm rear sway bars, Korman springs, Bilstein sport (which ever was the version designed for lowered cars, can't recall now), added negative camber up front through strut mount modification, Alpina hard rubber rear subframe bushings, and as of 1985 I switched to 8x16\" wheels all around with 225/50 Gatorback S and then Yokohama A008-R tires. The balance and controllability of the car thus setup was outstanding, and a vast improvement over stock while still being supple and very much a daily driven street car.
