Mine got 40 MPG which was pretty good during the gas crisis of the 1970s. Top speed was around 75 but it always seemed to settle at 56 MPG. And you can definitely jump a car using positive to negative. Or vice versa. Done it many times. \r\n\r\nAmerican cars had positive ground too! Back when they were 6V.
