These are quick cars as evidenced by routine 54-56sec laps at Lime Rock in 2012. Now what is critical with this car is the availability of spares and support. I'm guessing the engine/transmission would be easy, but one question brought up is that of rebuilds. I can tell you this: any race car you buy will likely need a rebuild, or at least the top half to assure tolerances. If you're just going to track it for fun, so be it. Go have a day of shakedown, then get after it. This engine sits transversely, and is balanced by the left hand driver location (no really!). \r\n\r\nI will say this: if I wasn't into open wheel/two wheel racing, this would be one helluva car to revisit for some endurance track time. The homologation for World Challenge required us to put new gears in the gearbox, which was done at the manufacturer (X Trac). Our plan initially was to race the car until the motor showed signs of wear, which it never did. Before the planned season, we had the car Dyno-Tuned in Atlanta, and HP/Torque were made as expected. Since purchasing the car, I have run it 6 hours max, however, cannot say for certain how many miles were on it when we acquired it.
