Bought it for $125. Had it towed home and after a valve adjust I got it to fire up. Carb rebuild and a few other small things and I had it drivable. I was surprised that oil and air filters were available from Toyota (Rose Toyota). The oil filter even came with the little tag reminder for your next oil change. I wanted to put in either a 20 or 22R and maybe update the brakes to something that worked a bit better. Just never happened and I ended up selling it for $700. I have loved this truck (my '66) since I drove it in high school.\r\nNo idea what he started with, but well done!\r\nI was impressed by the headliner and visors and interior, very, very close to original in so many aspects. I couldn't really tell about the radio, but the dash, glove box, and button, the stout emblem, outstanding.\r\nI have a '66 I am restoring as an original purchase by my father (when I was 9 yrs old), stored inside since 1999. \r\nI like the mirrors and had 3 different versions on my '66 over time. The originals were a large, bulky, and not very attractive model that attached to the door on mine. Not sure about '67 but think this is better-looking. I noticed the antenna hole on the passenger side just in front of the passenger windshield and mirror. The original is a basic rod with a coil-spring base.\r\nThese were factory 3/4 ton, so a bit rough riding without a load. First gear a definite granny, usually starts in 2nd gear unless loaded, but this little Toughy-Toy acts like it would climb a tree in first gear. I'd never seen one until 5 years ago then one made in 1966 came up on CraigsList in Tucson and I bought it for $600 from a fire fighter featured on American Pickers. The very next day I saw one driving down the road a block from my Toyota repair shop which I still see pretty regularly driving through the neighborhood. The Cabe Toyota delership in Long Beach still has NOS part for them on their shelves and there's a fairly large Stout club there in So Cal. Many people fit the Stout bodies onto the regular cab 5 lug Tacoma chassis which fit nicely and that's likely what I'm going to do to mine so it will have modern brakes and rack & pinion steering.
