As a car dealer, I have access to these auctions that the general public might not have access to. Like you, I did my research before purchasing, and in this case, the car had always been 100% clean title, never salvage. If you notice the \"title code\" listed was \u201cTitle Code: CA \u2013 cert of title OR salvage ACQ\u201d. I see how that can be confusing since they are not specifying whether it is one or the other. Salvage title cars DO NOT become clean after the sale in California, ever.\r\n\r\nIn the images that come up with the google search, the car did not have any accident damage. What was reported then was just \u201cmechanical\u201d (they could not start the car) and \u201cminor dent/scratches\u201d.\r\n\r\nI have attached an auto-check report showing that the car has a clean title and no damage reported. In addition, I have submitted a copy of the original CLEAN title to BAT as part of the requirements to accept the listing, and there were no flags of salvage title anywhere.
