Even though that V8 only put out 140 HP, it was fast considering it only weighed 2500 lbs. I had the transmission rebuilt and it would chirp the tire when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. At a Pink Floyd concert in the NJ Meadowlands in the Summer of '88 someone tried to steel my rims by placing a floor jack under the oil pan. They didn't succeed in stealing the rims, but they did manage crush the oil pan. Of course I didn't know this until I was doing over 100 MPH on I-78 and ended up spinning a bearing. I pulled the engine, crated it, and sent it back to Ford Motor Co to have it rebuilt. I enjoyed it for 3 more years until some guy approached me in a parking lot and offered to buy it at a higher price than I ever imagined it was worth. I wish my 21 year old self wasn't quite so naive and that I could see into the future.
