It was a running project at the time, but needed a full restoration. When I brought it home, a friend of ours who is a hobbyist photographer asked to use it for her Christmas Card. It's pure Americana, and if you look at the brochure, which is included, this vehicle was sold as part truck, part farm implement .The motor produces 114 lbs of torque and you could buy attachments for the mount such as a tiller. I've never seen any of those accessories for sale, but I think they are out there, would be a very cool piece. I imagine a GI returning from WWII, familair with Willy's from combat, and there at the local dealer was an ideal vehicle to tend the land and get to and from where they needed to go. I just want to comment, that in my truck, which is still equipped with the original gauges, the gauge in the top right corner is indeed an oil pressure gauge, not an oil temp gauge. My gauge reads from zero to 80 psi oil pressure, yours appears to read from zero to 50 psi oil pressure. The BAT description of the gauge cluster states it's an oil pressure gauge as well. I suspect the reason it reads low is either an oil pressure sending unit problem or a gauge calibration problem. The truck's electrical system was originally a 6 volt system. Yours appears to have been converted to a 12 volt system, at least it's got a 12 volt battery. The gauges need to be modified and calibrated to read correctly with a 12 volt system.
