For some reason I don't use my Cadillac A/C nearly as much as I use my A/C on newer cars. I like to lower the windows even on reasonably hot days. Maybe the lack of aerodynamics allowed these older cars to have better interior air flow and no buffeting like new cars. Point #2 is that people are always talking to you at stop lights so it's nice to be able to chat (which is a big plus if you like talking about cars). Point #3 is that the A/C stuff under the hood is a pain and always in the way.
