The color combo is very unique. I would always get asked if it was an aftermarket interior, but it is stock. It was not available in the US market and it sets you apart from every other 8 series out there. It has sport seats which were also not available. I took good care of this car and I know the current owner did as well. I saw this car after the accident and couldn't tell, it looked fantastic. The M Pars are appropriate. This is a dream car for me, being that there were no Barbados Green cars delivered to the USA or Canada by BMW, although this color was used in other markets for the entire run from '91 to '99. As somebody else stated, 396 eight series cars were built in this color, 184 of which came from the Germany market which the car listed here is from (EG21 code). 9 more for Japan, 129 for UK, and the rest to other markets. \n\nOf those 184 German Barbados green E31's, 59 were M70 powered 4 spd. auto cars. The interior colors are rare, but not unique. Barbadosgruen Colorline (code N1BD/0488) was used on 239 other 8 series cars in various markets; 163 in the German market alone. 233 of those Barbados green interiors went to Barbados green painted cars (97.5%) not surprisingly.\n\nThe CSi body kit and mirrors really round out the package, and although I love M-Par wheels, I've already purchased a refurbished set of ACS Type III wheels for an E31. He is also extremely good at diagnosing 850 issues. \n\nI own 2 six speed cars and 6 automatics. 7 of them run and are registered. 1 is a parts car. The six speed cars are more fun - especially when they are modified - and the automatics are better if you like to drink coffee while you are cruising or you sometimes let others drive your baby. The automatic in these cars is very well built and can easily handle the increased power of a modified engine. My six speeds shift cleanly, but I have heard of others who complain that the box is too slushy - it could be the ATF fluid they are using is too heavy or maybe they are just trying to pull through the gears too quickly - in any case I have never had that issue. \nWhen everything else fails - step away from the car - take a breather - have a shot of your favorite poison - ponder on your luck to be one of the few people on the planet to own one of these - REMEMBER this is the car that BMW has designated as \"The Soul of The Company\" --- then get back up and take another swing at it.
