An invoice of the RB and install is provided in the photo gallery. The Roll Bar is bolted into the car and can be easily removed and sold for those of you who prefer not to have it. The Turbo S engine management system is quite good at keeping the emissions within parameters, so if the car is running and you have some legitimate cat on it, passing smog should not be a problem.\r\n\r\nA California seller needs to smog the car prior to transfer, but an out-of-state seller does not. The car I bought (89 Turbo black on black 96k miles) is good but not as good as I had hoped. I'll have another $3k into it to get it right. Steering rack, nasty oil leak, as long as I had engine work going, changed the timing and water pump etc.. doing some needed paint work and interior upgrading worn parts. dash lighting is Fugly blue LED being changed back to stock and decided to put on new brakes. My wife was rolling her eyes at the car and \"fun\" I was having and my daughter jumped to my defense.. \"Mom, it's not a car to dad, it's a time machine\". I don't mind spending some money even though I put 19K upfront as I think these cars have room to grow.. like mid 20's easy and maybe 30K in 5 years.. more for perfect ones with the right colors/low miles/oem condition. This site tends to get good money for excellent cars and I value the really great insights and knowledge members share. My 89 would have required about 8K in retail shop charges at market price. I'll have $3k because I have some skills and know great parts people. Still the thing about these cars is that even with great connections and parts access, while the cars are relatively simple, they do require some money.. especially if you're like me and like things done right. \n\nAngrySalamander- I bumbled into the auction as it was ending, took a quick read and decided to go in. As much as I subscribe to the theory of a \"cup is half full\" I appreciate that there others that don't have the same ideology. Everyone is of course entitled to their own opinions whether they be positive or negative and as a seller one must be expect both sides of the spectrum. The thing that I am a bit shocked by are some of the biased comments from users whom have shown a history of either not listing nor selling a car on BAT or being consistent low ball bidders on cars that have sold for twice as much as what they bid. Furthermore for individuals; whom have not seen my car in person, to make very fact like statements as if they have 1st hand knowledge of the car is silly. Statements like it must have been tracked, its a project car, its only worth in the low teens, needs $3000 in engine work...really because you did a PPI on the car, to less than ideal color to less than ideal wheels (factory spec Clubsports) statements are grossly opinionated in the most troll like manner. Say you don't like the color but don't \"prescribe\" your medicine without having seen the patient in person. At the end of the day if this car had immaculate paint and a flawless dash with the stock exhaust mounted I doubt the last few commentators that bashed on the car would have bid up for the car anyways......lol. At the 89 Turbo has and will continue to be the most coveted of all 944 Turbo years and will only continue to increase in value at a faster clip than 86-87 year models.
