So many of these became demolition cars at the end of their useful lives as @Doritoman mentioned, much the same as many an Imperial which were eventually banned from such events. Cannot be many remaining. I have not seen one in years. My concern is that someone will purchase it for the drivetrain which would be regrettable. For better fuel economy, swap out the Torqueflite for a later year overdrive transmission. Fellow I knew did this on a 440 powered Dodge 250 crew cab & had the overdrive actuated by a toggle switch to maintain the stock shift lever. Add a set of the \"C\" body factory exhaust manifolds from a '66 300 or similar & a 2.5\" mandrel bent exhaust. And my last comment on the pie plate is that it is correct for a 350HP engine. Take the seats apart and carefully - with patience - make the splits disappear (various approaches depending on how much you like to tinker). I'd want to have the under carriage fully dry iced in hopes a lot of the crust and crud vanished. Then focus on detailing (properly not just covering it up) the body seams around the doors and door openings. Then...probably the biggest headache - pull out the rear side glass and attempt to do something remedial with the classic top-of-the-quarter-panel-side-glass rust. If you don't...it will keep on keeping on.\n\nThere is so much tinkering that can be done and end up with a wonderful survivor without tearing it completely apart.
