Most Japanese customer G36s were a partnership between Yanase (importing dealer of many special MBs in the 90s) and AMG Japan although some were direct to customer sales.\r\n\r\nIt is a beautiful G-Wagen and extremely rare. Here's some other detail i've researched about this model:\nEngine:\n\u2013 Engine code of the hand-built 3.6 by AMG: M104.992. 3.6 stated on the air filter and AMG stated on the engine. ECU specific to the G36.\nGearbox:\n\u2013 The 4- speed automatic gearbox was modified with gears a little longer than the G320 with the purpose to be the first G-Class to achieve 190km/h.\nDifferentials:\n\u2013 4.8 differentials, giving off road improvement over stock G320 with its 4.3 or 4.1 ratios.\nExterior:\n\u2013 AMG side exhaust on the left side of the car, the Japanese importer, Yanase, specified 'wave' side graphics and rear tire cover graphics for their showroom stock.
