Normal, cautious use might be fine, but hard launches or cornering might bring out the worst of this set-up. Considering the single circuit drum brakes, sedate driving might always be the best for this car anyway. Split wishbone, & a conversion to open driveshaft, that looks like an original '40 rear-end. There are some modifications on this car that are still used today, I'm surprised the door handles made it through the modifications, no poppers back then, but hidden pull cables as door actuators. A lot of these old builds weren't about design balance, just wild creation to out do someone else's build. Chopped, sectioned, but not channeled. Wonder what it looked like after pulled out of storage from the '60's, I see some signs of the old upholstery pictured, plus a 700R4 trans. wasn't available back then.
