He was 3-4 seconds a lap faster than I ever could muster. I believe there is an iconic pencil drawing of Gary working on the tranny with it sitting vertically on the ground at Sears. He had it all apart and back together in 30 minutes or so. That image ultimately made the cover of Porsche Panorama a few yrs later. Whoops, I'm getting sidetracked, sorry.
