The only one I've ever seen in person was the same color combination but with a black painted roof.\n\nAccording to the proprietor of the well-known independent Italian repair shop whose side yard that Flaminia Berlina was parked, it was pulled out of a garage in Mount Vernon, New York some years before and hadn't run in a who knows how long. The state inspection and registration still affixed to the windshield indicated it was last on the road no later than 1984. It had all the hallmarks of an estate find - the owner probably passed away and either the next of kin or the executor contacted this shop. The shop owner couldn\u2019t say no so he probably bought it for a nominal price to save it from the crusher. \n\nI would have loved to know more information about it: who bought it new, where they bought it, why did they buy it, what did they cross-shop, etc. What an odd choice for a wealthy car shopper in the 1950s/1960s.\n\nDespite decades of being stationary and subsequently several years stored outside, that Lancia was in much better condition than the one presented here (no offense to the seller). The interior was far more intact, the paint was fresher, and the taillights still held their color. It was for sale at the time with no takers - likely the result of needing more work than the car is worth. I drove by the shop recently and it's still there.\n\nI think all interesting cars are worth saving, even if they aren\u2019t worth much.
