Only, now I\u2019m conflicted, because my real love is for the Mark V. But the real light wood in the interior of this car is such a major improvement over the fake wood in the majority of the Mark IV\u2019s, which was their biggest letdown of all, simply because Cadillac had a better looking interior with the huge improvement made with the 1974 model year. Lincoln corrected that issue with the Mark V. But THIS car\u2019s interior was also corrected to exceed Caddy\u2019s. I really like this car. \r\n\r\nOf course, I\u2019m very biased, because I personally think that the Mark III, IV, V, AND YES, THE MARK VI, are the most beautiful luxury cars EVER BUILT. Lincoln knocked it out of the park with these overall designs. They truly are timeless. These cars (especially the V and VI) look just as modern on their exterior designs as they did back when they were just introduced. I would love to see Ford bring these cars forward into the 21st century with today\u2019s fuel mileage and safety standards while retaining yesterday\u2019s designs. I have purchased two cars from Bill. One on BAT where no one bid the last 5 days and suddenly at 5:34pm on a Friday night I was the shocked but happy purchaser of a 1978 Olds 98 Regency with less than 14k miles when I got it. Perhaps I only give deference to continued bidding when I see someone who is a regular buyer / customer of the seller is the last bidder. Bill, for example, has one guy in CA who purchased between 15 and 20 cars from him. That buyer is our hero who we would not stand in the way of. I think right now I have several cars from multiple sellers I am bidding on. I don't expect to get them all but at prices I bid, I would not be disappointed to own. You can bid with impunity and confidence if you see cars Bill offers. From watching his offerings, I am not aware of any bidder that is really not in it to win it at a given buyer determined maximum price. I do tend to question bids from \"first time bidders\" until they have proven they are here to win. Another reason I bid often up to my determined limit is I get bored (as do others) who see activity the first day or two of an auction and then crickets (silence) until the last hour or so of the auction. In the case of my Olds 98, no one bid the last 5 days after my bid on a Monday afternoon. Maybe I bid too much but bill brings these cars in a highly presented format expecting to sell them. So far, in the last couple years, I have bought 3 cars from 3 different BAT sellers and two more from knowing the sellers but not on the BAT platform. The way it is, if a car does not sell in BAT auction, it is like the seller is cut off and has to start over again with no contact continuity with those who were interested in the car during regular auction days.
