They may not have really high top speed but they are very fast their the corners. With the correct handling setup, the Spitfire is a giant killer. Its not that it is soo fast in the straight parts\u2026its that you don\u2019t have to lift in the twisty bits. The car is very well balanced and has very predictable understeer and with a locked rear end you can throttle steer the car into corners and break the car free at will into a four wheel drift to keep your speed up on the corner exit. The spitfire also has decent brakes. Where most cars are hitting the brakes at maker 5 or 4, I drift on past and hit the breaks only to adjust the car at 1 and move on past. I passed a Porsche 911 at turn 10a at Road Atlanta and I swear I could see him say \u201cSon Of a bitch\u201d as I passed. Obviously he passed me back on the straight and tried to peel the paint off as he passed, but I got him. My car hit 105hp at the rear wheels on the dyno and weighs 1400 pounds.
