Having a hard top helps to prevent water intrusion better than the soft top, but no Elise is waterproof... \r\nThe wear on seats and sills is consistent with the mileage. But I've never seen a heater register that yellowed! Cam belt is not difficult to change, just put a quality water pump in at the same time. The Gates kit comes with a good one. \r\nThis S1 seems to have aluminum uprights, but steel brakes. Nothing wrong with that.
