Any Porsche dealership can confirm options and colors with the vin over the phone, even RoW cars. I will see if I can provide a build sheet. FWIW we know this is a very limited-option 964, which is the main draw to the RoW cars. Having owned a number of these cars myself, I don't think I will ever own a US-spec C2 (or RSA) ever again. Pre-92 RoWs were built the way a 964 was supposed to be, sans sunroofs, bulky air-bag dashboards, and ugly third tailight rear glass. This car was further optioned down without a rear wiper and cruise control. Minor changes that really tend to add up and contribute to the overall feel of a 964. \r\n\r\n1991 is also the sweet spot for an RoW C2. This was the only year that received both the RS-style dash and the revised M64 with head gaskets. The only other 964 built with this combo would be the the 92 RS. 1992+ RoW unfortunately got the airbag dash and more complex wiring harness. \r\n\r\n@rocketman612 the paint job was very thorough with no obvious sign of a color change, it took a call to Porsche to confirm this car was indeed originally green. The third brake light has proven useful many times over although it is in the way of rear visibility.\r\n\r\nThese cars are all similar some are well setup and others not so much a LWF or RS clutch and chip will open these up and that is all that would make one feel different than another, US spec or not. I don't get the never buy a US spec when ROW cars are no better. We aren't talking RS vs C2 here. \r\n\r\nStill a nice C2 and hard to come by in good condition. I see this retains the RHD headlights are the H&R's the Sport or street version? You also don't mention the aero mirrors which are added. I don't see any TUV markings but the raised size and offset on either side of the valve stem is not present. Are these factory Cup I's and if so what sizes. Also without the engine serial number there is no way of knowing for sure if this is a ringless engine or not. I have seen them delivered in 91 with plastic intakes and ringless engines. I just went through it on a 964 that had been originally sold in Japan, then to BC Canada and from the to Washington state where I purchased it from the owner. I heard 12 different things from 12 different people on what I needed and what I didn't need. It did have an emissions sticker but it was in Japanese on an aftermarket decklid w tail - no help. Two things: you need to get it to pass smog (not easy since they keep raising the bar here) and then go to AAA and get a form to take to the CHP to verify the vin. When all was said and done, the CHP didn't care that it didn't have an emissions sticker. Mine had the original factory stamp in the boot and a BC vin which of course didn't match. Finally got title. After cursing myself for getting an RoW car and going through getting it registered in the People's Republic of California - it was worth it. Love driving it! A rare combo indeed. The engine number is 62M10160 which is well after the headgasket revision. You will notice the lower engine shot shows the white concrete pad which I parked the car on for photos. This was after getting the car nice and warm up Angeles Creat highway and parking for a good 30 minutes. Not a drop.
