Back in the early 1980's a street racing buddy of mine had a factory 440 Six Pack Roadrunner in a mustard yellow that had the super stock suspension (extra rear leaf spring) to help manage the torque, the factory lift off hood with deleted hinges, bench seat, column shift, radio delete and drum brakes all around. It would get one wheel off the ground at the track on 9\" slicks and run 12.70's all day long and drive the 100 miles home with no issues. While it did have some minor rust issues, he sold it back then for around $4500 and I kick myself pretty much every day for not buying it. It was built for one purpose - launching hard and running straight down the track.
