A vehicle that came to Greece in the aftermath of second World War after US decided to support its allies in Europe. The M38 was produced in considerably less numbers than its successors and the particular one was really taken care of basically by the previous owner. \n\nAs stated in the description the Jeep was sun-blasted, anti-rust protection applied and was painted with approved military color. Restoration also included engine overhauling as well as transmission, differential, transfer case, axle, steering box, brakes, electrical system. All spare parts used were new and original. The only non-authentic part is the carburetor and this was in order to achieve better/smoother operation. The dashboard/control panel and instruments are all original.\n\nMost importantly though overdrive has been additionally installed, which is one of the best additions one can put on a Willys. The overdrive reduces the engine RPMs and gives more speed without the engine screaming at high RPMs which makes driving easy on and off road. In the beginning of the video you can see how does the overdrive works while shifting the gears.\n\nThere is no rust present in the vehicle. The car cooler and the area around it seems to be rusty. Yet this is the genuine cooler which was made out of brass and thus the brass debris confuses as it is similarly colored with rust.\n\nI will be following your comments closely in case you need any clarification. \n\nPlease do estimate 2.000$ for transportation towards East Coast , 2.500$ for West Coast and approximately 800\u20ac for Europe.\n\nFollowing my previous yellow Jap auction that has just reached its new owner in the States, I am very happy to continue my affiliation with BaT community with a true soldier. There was a folding shovel, a pair of hatchets, a canteen and a couple of other items. The canvas covers all were stamped 1940-1944, as were the handles of some of the tools. \n\nI put the bunch on Craigslist with a request for offers and an admission that I had no idea what the value of the tools was. Within a day I got a $90 offer from a guy who said he wanted the tools to go with his Willy's Jeep that had been dressed for duty in the European theater. \n\nIt always makes me happy to think of those tools being shown with one of these Jeeps, as opposed to sitting in a cardboard box in my garage. The neat thing was their 24 volt electrical system. My biggest memory of driving and riding in my friend's M38 is seeing the road pass by so close to your legs through the openings into the tub.
