When I bought it, the suspension and the push button gearshift didn't work. The suspension was a simple wire issue and the push button problem turned our to be a box by the bottom of the transmission that had gotten full of water. I dumped the water and sealed the box and it worked great for the rest of the time I owned it as did the suspension. It was a great car with excellent pep. It was purchased by Robert Taylor in 1963 at Hollenback Motors Inc. in Spokane Washington and owned for 55 years. 54042 actual miles and has been in climate controlled storage for over a half a century. Robert was an avid Packard aficionado and his collection consisted of Packard parts, memorabilia and his crown jewel this Caribbean. It is all original including paint, panels, interior, top, engine, transmission etc...Only 500 were produced from the factory at a price of 5900. We have some historical documentation including the dealer invoice, 1963 License plates and a tire purchase receipt from 1963. I believe those tires are still on the vehicle. This could be one of the last remaining survivors in the world. If you appreciate Packards and like original \"survivor type\" automobiles this could be the one for you.
