There were literally no door bottoms or rocker panels left.\r\n\r\nThe tailgate design on the Squarebodies was awful. You had to roll the rear glass down in order to open the tailgate. If the glass regulator failed, you could not open the gate. If the circuit to the regulator motor failed, you could not open the gate. If the glass weatherstrip failed, which it did because it was garbage, pretty soon the whole inside of the gate disintegrated into rust. That's why with Squarebodies, you are better off with barn doors.\r\n\r\n2WD Suburbans are extremely dicey in the snow. Hauling people and towing loads are what these are all about. Spent many a morning going to practice and camps in these.\r\nBuilt rock solid as well. Well except for the 454 in this one and it spinning a bearing. It happens.\r\nWe've owned an '07 3/4T with a 6.0L (aka 364 ci) since new and it's amazing when it comes to fuel economy even when pulling the 28' travel trailer, etc...\r\nIn 11 years, replaced one O2 sensor, had a broken exhaust manifold bolt so replaced them all, a minor rewire job for the passenger rear tail light and just recently replaced the rotors all around. Less than a grand all in, can't complain.\r\n\r\nThis is in nice condition no doubt. Interior and exterior that is. \r\nI'm kinda surprised at the state of engine compartment 1500 miles after the rebuild. \r\nTook the time to ArmorAll the tires but couldn't detail the engine ? Hard to tell it was rebuilt and not seeing anything to prove it, like receipts? At the time selling it was not part of that plan, but life has a way of changing things.\r\n\r\nIn something this large I feel a LSX swap is really just a lateral move for 5-7 MPG. My use was to be as a tow rig for my unimog, and would require a little more grunt. \r\n\r\nI have receipts for parts, and will get with BAT to upload them. As I stated, I rebuilt the engine and therefore there are no labor receipts. \r\n\r\n\r\nI appreciate these questions being raised.
