I am not saying this is the case here, just a possible problem in that area. The heater box can rust from underneath if the heater core or hoses ever have a leak. The battery box area photo is being blocked by a plastic tray covering the area of the rocker that would have told the story of corrosion there (the real area to be seen is under the metal tray), so if it hides the upper rocker, what DOES it look like under the metal tray? The boot area photos have the rust area shaded out completely, but the close up photos from underneath show some kind of patching,take a look. I know this will piss the seller off, and I had commented before it looked like a decent car for it's age. But the \"complete dismantle restoration\" and non disclosing photos were just too much. The compartment where the voltage regulator and data plate are has rust pocks all over the place. This is a result of water from the (yes) patched heater box bottom leaking. I'll bet you real money on the patch job and you'll lose. The bottom of the floors on the drivers side underneath the car indicate corrosion coming from the battery area, and the tray you show a picture of is removable and replaceable with new, as this one appears to be. Why did you hold the plastic tray there when taking the photo? As a matter of fact it looks like the tray is not even bolted in with the original bolts. The area on the bottom of the drivers rocker where it is spot welded to the floor shows no spot welds along the ridge and suggests that the area has been smoothed over with body filler, another area affected by battery acid leaking through the closing panel behind the battery tray. The underneath shots of the boot area that you can see show body filler that was not smoothed out properly on the patches(or it is bubbling back out). I can point out numerous other defects of this car and the people bidding should just be shown the facts. The way the photos were staged does lead me to some dishonesty here. Retake the photos of the boot and prove me wrong.
