This is just a great, quirky little thing for that purpose. I really like the fold down bed sides and the power lift gate. I like the tiny diesel to get the job done, albeit slowly. I like the interior in good condition for its age. The RHD and manual would be fine for my purposes. I like the crew cab so I can lock something in the back if I need to while I'm out. I would just have a great time putting around in this thing for garden projects or whatever. Then I'd have fun working on it and refurbishing it and and being the envy of every DIY guy at the landscape supply yard with their fancy off road Colorados and king ranch fords and whatnot. \n\nBut alas. I've been shopping too, and roughly equivalent trucks in Japan are in the 4-5K $ range. Add a couple thousand for import and you are right here. Normally I'd say there is a premium for it being here already, but there is still transport to deal with, so that's a wash (I'm in Seattle, and we can get them to Tacoma, so that's actually closer than Oregon!). This one has some cool features and has had some stateside use by a reputable guy who vouches for it's soundness. If I had shuffled out of another truck in time, I would have gone a bit higher. I do hope we were close to the reserve though - these are hard to value, but I think the original ask was too high.
