People love them and they enjoy simply looking at them in their garages more than they love driving them. Not everybody can charm a snake. It only takes 1 or 2 good scares and they remain \"parked\" for quite a while. \n\n I've had a number of similar cars (not a CSX) and they have all been wonderful. However, with these cars you can't assume low mileage means no money needs to be spent to keep it running well. These cars need ongoing maintenance and the more they \"sit\" the more they need down the road as things age. I'm not telling most of you something you don't already know. However, Ford 427 FE parts and skilled mechanics aren't necessarily available by asking the clerks at Autozone. Be prepared to open your wallet - another reason why some of these don't get much use. If you don't use it, you won't break it and thus worry about having to repair it. CSX cars have remained a solid value to the original owners/builders as good examples like this are worth far more than originally paid.\n\nPlease don't buy a car like this as an investment, though. Buy it because you want to own and drive the nastiest son of a bitch around (might be the prettiest, too) with a giant smile on your face. And there's nothing like cruising through Old Town Scottsdale on a Saturday night in a ratty looking Cobra that everyone thinks is at least $1 Million on four-wheels. Had Craig Jackson pull up next to me at an intersection. He was in his notorious Veyron. On another occasion I followed Tom Price's 250 GTO chassis 4757 through Carmel Valley in my \"tupperware\" Cobra but the reaction of the onlookers was one of amazement. He saw my car in his rear view mirror so pulled over so we could talk.\n\nI've now put over 70,000 miles on the car and drove it just two days ago again. Of all the sports cars I've owned, which have included Ferrari 250 GTE, 330GT, 308GT4, Jaguar XK120, 150, E Type and an ancient SS100, an Aston DBS, and too many Porsches, Mercedes, Bentleys etc. my fake Cobra is my favorite. The reliability almost, -almost- matches my Toyota but the visual presence of this car is much greater than any of the other cars I've had - and they're all worth factors more than this. I caused a major traffic jam in downtown Portland one rush-hour evening - a big truck full of city workers stopped in the middle of an intersection so all the guys could jump out and look at my car.
