Engines which are not raced, regularly cover 90 hours without requiring attention\". Most competent engine rebuilds cost around $11-13K. However this also depends on which shop is doing the work and if the motor needs to be sealed for competition use as well. \r\n\r\nLooking online, it appears most people go with the geartronics paddle shift system. It's not an SR3, let alone a 1500 SR3, but it gives me insight. \r\n\r\nAt anything near the current bid, this car looks to be a great track day weapon. It won't keep up with a modern SR3 but it's a great track day car nonetheless. Cheap to buy (at something not too far beyond the current bid), not hugely expensive to maintain, readily available parts (assuming Radical still has parts for a car this old) and almost infinitely fun to drive. That said, it requires much attention and effort to keep up with scheduled maintenance.\r\n\r\nOn an unrelated note, I don't get why anyone would want to drive a car like this on the street. It would be quite like going to he-- in a blender. Then add in no ground clearance and you'd get beached on the first speed bump you encountered. And forget getting into/out of driveways. It just wouldn't be pleasant.
