The founder is very much involved with NASA (reason the FF challenge exists) and I saw them providing track side support for several years at the 25hours of Thunderhill for various customer cars - including the one Daytona coupe that used to run there. In fact, one year, one of their cars suffered a fairly large fire during testing from being hit in the rear, and so they did a huge redesign of the rear of the car and the fuel cell. People turning a Fiero into an F40, for instance.
