All graphics, it had the number one graphic on the number plates, it also had the graphics on the tank, graphics were all cracked in oxidized. I wanted it to look new.\r\n\r\n2. Chain and sprockets. Sprocket bolts are original.\r\n\r\n3. Seat cover. Have the original with one small tear.\r\n\r\n4. Tires are new (Michelin S2)\r\n\r\n5. Wosner piston and rings, first over bore. Had the original piston and Stock bore when I got it, which were both and pretty decent shape, but tolerances were too loose.\r\n\r\n6. New aftermarket air filter\r\n\r\n7. New polished Allen head case bolts I have the originals and they are in excellent condition, they will come with the bike. I just like the shiny bolts.\r\n\r\n8. Throttle cable and clutch cable are aftermarket. I have the originals and with a little TLC could probably get them working better.\r\n\r\n9. Sticker on the shock reservoir is original\r\n\r\n10. Swing arm, pivot bearings are aftermarket, \r\n\r\n11. Fuel line, overflow lines, and fuel filter or aftermarket\r\n\r\n12. Ignition coil only is aftermarket, it worked, but had really weak spark. Tested the load on the primary and secondary. One was about half the ohms that it needed. As we all know, these bikes leaked at all the joints and sludge would build up. When I removed the exhaust system, I had the whole system ceramic coated, and when I reassembled it, I used exhaust sealant at the Connections at the head and where the stinger meets the exhaust pipe. I also Powder coated the swing arm. \r\n\r\nAnother known fact on This Era Yamaha, is The metallurgy on the wheels are substandard, they tend to get hairline cracks in them. It was important to me to keep this bike as original as possible. The rear wheel is in great shape, the front wheel is in great shape, except there are a few hairline cracks. Also, a well-known fact on these older motocross Bikes is the fuel tanks on these are plastic and when you put new decals on them, they tend to bubble. The ones I put on there are in fact starting to bubble because of putting gas in to give it a rip down the road. There is an epoxy coating you can put on the inside that will prevent this from happening. I did not want to do this, I figured I would leave that up to the new owner, he may not want it in there if he\u2019s going to have this as a showpiece in his office. They are amazing machines in every way. An extremely agile open-classer; light, narrow and can be thrown around like a 250. They also make an excellent desert bike with the appropriate taller gearing. The abundance of torque and horsepower lets the 465 gas out in the sandy washes, vast open spaces, and up steep climbs and dunes with the best of them. It has a potent engine, powerful brakes, great suspension and an awesome chassis to match.\u00a0The 465 could outdrag, out-jump and out-brake anything else in 1980. \r\n\r\nAs @Kie already mentioned, a production-based Yamaha YZ465, under command of the talented Marty Moates, won the USGP at Carlsbad against an overwhelming sea of works bikes and factory sponsored riders.
