If your goal is to restore to concours condition, then the brief for the build is pretty straightforward- make it exactly as it left the factory. If you work with Rod Emory to design and build an Outlaw, there are far more build decisions to make and it's important that the builder and client are on the same page. Rod had earned an incredible reputation for his work, many of his Outlaws were track oriented- plexi windows, strap handles, racing seats, no carpet, etc, to save weight. I wanted to build something a little different and to paint a picture of what that was, I suggested to Rod, \"let's say its 1959 and King Juan Carlos called his friend Ferry Porsche and told him to build something for he and the Queen to bomb around in\". That brief informed all of our choices. A sunroof, radio, carpets, vent wings, custom woven leather seats, a leather tray for luggage, a silver painted roll bar, leather hood straps, etc. all propelled by 3.5 times the stock horsepower but still looking like a custom order from 1959. An elegant beast. I realize the reference may sound weird to some, but it worked for Rod and I.
