Went to pick it up and the first clue to problems was being asked for a set of keys as they couldn't find the set the car was delivered with. At first they refused to let me drive the car in the lot without first signing all their paperwork, but despite being a naive 20 -some year old, I held out. Quickly realized that the steering lock was broken. next was the missing radio. Walking around the car saw a rust colored smudge on the FL tire and then realized that the sidewall was damaged. Apparently, having no key, they picked it up with a fork lift and the drive hit that tire with a tine of the fork lift. Rubber floor mats were missing as was 1 windshield wiper.\r\n\r\nAll this while in the care of Volvo's approved shipper. Volvo replaced 1 tire and the missing small components, but the radio they installed was not nearly as good as the original (forget the brand) and they, and the next Volvo dealer my sister took it to were unable to get the radio to play the rear speakers. That's my only Europe to US shipping experience and it was early 1970's.
